Kylie walked down the streets as the sun set off in the distance. She walked over the damp cobble stone and stared up at the sign that seemed to be falling apart. It said Underground Milan. She pressed the ringer and then an eye peered through a slit. He recognized her and opened the giant steel door. She then walked in to the booming of a deep bass and a large crowd of people on the floor. Kylie walked to the counter and ordered a specialty. She ten went over to some friends and began to chat. Every now and then she would glance at the crowd but she never saw anyone worth looking at.

Tira walked in. She had put on her long leather coat and combat boots. She always liked attention and this was one of her more favoirte clubs to get it at. She noticed Kylie at the bar. But dismissed her by walking passed without saying hello. Tira sat down at the bar a few seats away, and ordered the usual. The bartender gave her the first round free because of how often she came here. Tira didn't even turn to look at Kylie. She wnated her to approach her first.

Kylie noticed her and immediately knew she was one of her kind. Like she did to all other, she pulled her hair aside revealing her neck and bowed her head. When Tira did not acknowledge, she sipped her drink and continued to look at the crowd. Many Lugaru were here, some important, some not so much. She was one of the not so important Lugaru, but that suited her fine. It meant less of a chance of the pack leader choosing her as a bride and she had no problem with that. An honor maybe but at the moment, she was not interested in marriage or relationships.

Tira noticed Kylie's greeting and returned the same after she finished her drink. "I hear that he is coming tonight." Tira knew Kylie would understand what she meant. "Looking for a new wife. You know this seven year cycle sucks ass." Tira nodded to the bar teneder and he made her another drink. She looked over to Kylie and began to actually look like she was having a conversation with her. "That's why so many of us are here tonight. Such an honor to be chosen, no?" Tira actually didn't like the idea of being forced to be with their pack leader but if she was chosen she had no choice but to grin and bear it. But what were the odds of being picked over anybody else?

"Yeah I know. Luckily, I won't have to worry about it much. I'm not high enough even in the pack in the Vatican. I mean, I may not get best pickings at the hunt but atleast I'm not confined to the marriage pack of the leader. If chosen by some strange fortune, indeed an honor it would be but personally, I would not want to marry. I'm too busy fighting lycans and searching for my brother. I don't think I could handed a relationship or marriage on top of that. Plus, the pack leader calls my brother dead, no word from the other Italian groups but I don't believe it," she told Tira. "By the way, I'm Kylie, from the Vatican, a refugee I guess. Came here with some family friends. How bout yourself?"

"Tira... and i know who you are. I heard of you at the last hunt two months ago." Tira offered a hand to Kylie. "I came from Japan. Humans realized us and murdered most of the pack. A few others and I escaped, but i do know where my family is either. But i don't really care. I have made it on my own this far and i will make my way through anything." Tira took a long sip from her drink. She noticed a young man across the b ar staring at them. He took a drag from his cigarette and looked away. "Heh..." Tira wasn't into relationships, she liked toying with "boys"(what Tira thought men to be). "So i wonder why he hasn't shown up yet?" Tira was just wondeirng so she could steer clear of him. She'd say her hello's and find out whe nt he next hunt was, but had no further intrest.

"Yeah I heard about the massacre in Japan. Last I heard, all the Lugaru packs fled, didn't know some would make it all the way to Italy though," she said. When she saw Tira look at the boy she wondered but said nothing. "Well, it's nearly ten. If I'm correct, that's when the public is kicked out, after all, the owner here is Lugaru. At 10:15 is when he's supposed to announce the girl. I find it strange. So many want to be chosen but they know eventually they will be cast aside. It's an ancient ritual, one we all grow up to know and respect and still I can not understand it all. Oh well," she shrugged, ordering a second drink.

Tira nodded. "I wish it was cast out to be honest." she laughed a little at her comment. "Not that that would ever happen right?" She noticed most of the public was being cleared out. " Looks like it's time..." She sighed and gulped down the rest of her drink. The man across the bar was getting up to leave. He went all the way around just to walk past the two females. He looked stoned out of his mind, and Tira was immdiatly turned off. He made a face at both of them and Tira was tempted to ram one of her boots up his ass for it. She cletched her hand into a fist, but held back. "Humans are pigs..." Tira stood up in anticipation of what was about to happen. "Better get ready huh?" She smirked at the empty stage. That's where it would happen. All the females would line up like cattle and be chosen, like some meat being cut for market.

"Yeah, guess so," she said and finished up her drink. All the men moved to the back and the women moved towards the stage. When a tall man stepped out, everyone bowed their heads and pulled their hair to the side to reveal their necks. When he returned the gesture, they all stood up normally again. It was dead silent as he stood there. No one dared speak out of turn or even move. The pack leader had that much power. After all, he was the pack leader of all the Lugaru groups in Italy.

Tira was silent. He body shook slightly from nervs but when he passed over her she felt herself loosen up. "It's not me" She was relieved that it wasn't her. But Tira couldn't help but wonder if her new acquaintance had been so lucky? Tira turned her head slightly to see him go down the row of women. She still couldn't see Kylie, and if she leaned out anymore she could be in trouble. She just had to wait and see.

Then he stopped in front of her, or so she thought. In reality, he looked at the girl behind her. She was a noble blood girl, someone many of them expected. He smiled and walked past Kylie. She let out a quiet breath. He took her hand and took her on stage. "My new bride," he told every. Then everyone fell to one knee and revealed their necks again. "A hunt, this Saturday, on the full moon, a celebration for my new fiance." He said. Then everyone was free to do as they pleased. The club was still private for them but it became a club again, a special party for the pack. Kylie was very relieved.

Tira made her way over to Kylie. "You look like you have just won the lottery." She laughed and heard music come back on. "I want to dance. Would you like to join me?" She was interested in making this Kylie girl her friend. And what better way than i dance? The men had returned to the floor, and the club seemed as full as before wiht all the humans. Yet they weren't here. Tira started to dance but stopepd for a moment. "Full moon? What an idiot! Is he trying to get us all killed?" But the thoughts soon left her as she was carried away by the music.

"No kidding," she replied relieved. As they danced, she saw the look in her eyes and knew what she was thinking. "It has to be full moon, you know that. It's the whole marriage thing. Luckily, the Lycan here are too few and too weak. The stronger ones are in the Vatican and Venice. The ones here couldn't take us on even if all the ones in Milan came together. Luckily, we have the upper hand and since our Lord is here, we are that much stronger," she said. Then she continued to dance, two men of their kind came to join them, but unlike selfish men, they made no moves on the girls, only danced with them.

Tira wondered if Cooper had shown up, but she didn't see him. She danced upon one man, but only for a certain part song. They were all having fun, so she felt no need to hold back. As long as she didn't dance on Kylie that's all that mattered. "I love this song." The had a dj tonight, but one some nights they had a live band that would be joining them. But on special nights as these only lugaru could be here. Tira was luahging and humming along. This was one of the better nights. No piggish men, well not anymore.

"Lugaru men are always better," she grinned at Tira as she stole a man to herself to dance with. When the song ended and another began, her man went off and she wandered to the bar. "House drink," she told him and sat on a stool. She thanked the bartender then drank. beads of sweat rolled down her brow. She wiped it away with a napkin then looked around some. She liked being with her pack, it felt like she had a home, and family.
